WE ARE CITIZENS AGAINST THE RIVER MARSH PROJECT PROPOSED IN PEMBROKE

We seek to prevent a developer from using the 40b loophole (can ignore local conservation regulations such as wetland setbacks) to build on land that has been determined to be unbuildable wetlands. The 68 unit project is proposed to be built in an existing historic neighborhood on Water Street in Pembroke, MA along the North River. The complex will likely be visible from boaters in the North River itself, Barque Hill homes in Norwell, as well as other homes along the river in Hanover. The potential runoff from excavation and construction will have a significant impact on the wildlife in the area and adversely impact the properties and residents of Norwell, Hanover, Pembroke, Marshfield, and Scituate. The proposed $1M waste water treatment plant is planned to be situated in the middle of these wetlands an would be visible to neighboring homes .
Marsh River Village property lines directly abut registered rare and endangered species habitat. Marsh River Village has not had their property surveyed for rare or endangered species.
